Nashua Valley Council will send two troops (space for 72 Scouts) to the 2017 National Jamboree. Detailed plans are being developed. This page will be updated as plans evolve.
Details about fees, payment plans and refund policies for members of the council's Jamboree contingent.
To commemorate the 2017 National Jamboree Nashua Valley Council has issued a special-edition, collectible patch set.
Designed by Acton Scout Logan P., this set includes four unique council shoulder patches around a 5-inch central patch. The design depicts a whimsical characterization of Leominster native John “Johnny Appleseed” Chapman pursuing his signature apples through a variety of Jamboree activities. Proceeds from patch sales will defray our Jamboree contingent’s travel expenses.
Sets may be purchased online at shop.nashuavalleybsa.org, or at the council service center for a discounted pre-order price of $25 per set through October 30. After October 30 sets may be purchased for $30 per set.
This is at the official travel itinerary for the Nashua Valley Council Jamboree contingent. This itinerary is also included in the Contingent Guides.
It requires thousands of volunteer staff working in all manner of roles to make a National Jamboree successful. Opportunities exist in program areas, support and logistics roles, food services, sub-camp operations, the Order of the Arrow, and health and safety. A full list of staff positions is available on The Summit website.
