Jamboree Staff Opportunities

It requires thousands of volunteer staff working in all manner of roles to make a National Jamboree successful. Opportunities exist in program areas, support and logistics roles, food services, sub-camp operations, the Order of the Arrow, and health and safety. A full list of staff positions is available on The Summit website.

Staff Qualifications:

  • Be a registered member of the BSA and complete Youth Protection training.
  • Be available to arrive at the Jamboree early and stay later than participants (this varies by department).
  • Be at least 16 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree (July 19, 2017)

Staff Fees:

Staff volunteering for the Jamboree are required to pay the staff fee of $850 for adult staff or $425 for youth (under 26) staff. These fees defray the cost of staff meals, recognition items, campsite equipment, and other staff-related costs. A $150 deposit is required when you submit your staff registration.
