Toniiq Alpha GPC Summarized

PROS

  • Price
  • Shows positive results in slowing down cognitive decline in elders and those suffering from memory loss
  • Potentially effective for greater power output and sports performance

CONS

  • No proof that it has cognitive-enhancing properties for otherwise healthy adults
  • Not as effective as CDP-Choline
  • Missing core nootropics for more comprehensive brain support

SUMMARY:

Toniiq Alpha GPC is a purified source of Alpha-GPC. Although it showed to be effective in studies on rodents, we’re lacking human studies that prove Alpha GPC is one of the best cognitive-enhancing nootropics today. Alpha GPC is a source of choline which is a nutrient that your brain uses to create chemicals that support memory and cognitive function. However, a better nootropic source of choline than Alpha GPC is CDP-Choline.

If Tonniq included CDP-Choline, along with other proven ingredients that are missing from this supplement, it would be more effective at doing what it claims. That said, due to its cheap price, Alpha GPC is a good choice if your sole goal is to improve physical performance. However, if you’re looking for the best supplement for memory, long-term brain support, and focus & mental clarity, there are definitely better options available on the market today.

As you can probably guess from its name, Toniiq Alpha GPC is a supplement that contains a substance called Alpha-GPC. Alpha-GPC is a compound naturally found in our brain and it has an important function for our nervous system.

Alpha-GPC provides choline to our brain, from which a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine gets synthesized. This neurotransmitter is responsible for the normal function and work of our cognitive and nervous systems and as well as our muscles.

Numerous benefits are prescribed to the dietary supplementation of Alpha-GPC. The most common is enhanced memory and better sports performance. Others may include brain benefits for recovery after a stroke or to help with dementia or Alzheimer’s.

Toniiq Alpha GPC is a highly purified supplementary source of Alpha GPC. Manufacturers proudly claim that their supplement’s purity and quality is top-notch. As they say, what makes Toniiq Alpha GPC so superior is that it contains a purity level of 99% while most other Alpha-GPC products contain less than 50%.

However, purity means less if the compound is ineffective. Therefore, in order to truly found out if Toniiq Alpha GPC is a supplement worth buying and if Alpha-GPC shows proven health benefits, we decided to make this review.

Read along and find out more about Toniiq Alpha GPC, how it works, is it effective, what the science says about it, and if it is worthy of your purchase. Let’s get started.

Dosage Instructions

Take 2 capsules of Toniiq Alpha GPC up to two times a day, or as directed by your healthcare professional. The serving size of two capsules contains 600mg of Alpha-GPC. One bottle of Toniiq Alpha GPC contains 120 capsules, which is enough for 60 servings.

Ingredients – What’s Inside Toniiq Alpha GPC?

Toniiq Alpha GPC ingredients list - new and updated

The main active ingredient of this supplement is Alpha-GPC, also known as alpha-glycerophosphocholine.

Secondary ingredients include Vegetable cellulose capsule, Magnesium Oxide, Vegetable Magnesium Stearate, Discalcium Phosphate & Silicon Dioxide. This makes Toniiq Alpha GPC capsules vegetarian-friendly.

  • Alpha-GPC (alpha-glycerophosphocholine)

Alpha-GPC is a compound that can be naturally found in a variety of choline-rich foods, such as beef liver, eggs, chicken, soybean, and whole grain. However, in order to be biologically active, much higher doses of Alpha-GPC are needed. Therefore, Alpha-GPC supplements are a better choice, because high doses of this compound can’t be found in food.

Supplementation of alpha-GPC became interesting because the oral consumption of it showed nootropic potential. Alpha-GPC showed cognitive-enhancing properties in studies made on rodents. However, there is no evidence that supports the same effect in otherwise healthy humans.

At higher doses (1200mg) Alpha-GPC has been somewhat effective in slowing down the rate of cognitive decline in elderly who suffer from moderate Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.

Also, to the supplementation of Alpha-GPC, enhancing properties of sports performance has been attributed. Alpha-GPC showed the ability to enhance the production of growth hormone and power output if consumed prior to exercise.

However, only acute spikes of growth hormone have been reported, which doesn’t make it any more effective than Arginine. Nonetheless, all these performance-enhancing properties of Alpha-GPC need more research in order to be reliable.

Our Commentary on Toniiq Alpha GPC’s Ingredients

Although it showed promising results in studies on rats, Alpha-GPC hasn’t shown any noticeable cognitive-enhancing properties in otherwise healthy humans. This makes us question if you would have any benefit with Toniiq Alpha-GPC if you are looking for a nootropic supplement to boost your cognitive functions. On the other hand, it turned out to be effective for the elderly suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, but at a much higher dose than the serving size.

As for the sport enhancing properties goes, more research needs to be done in order to be sure if Alpha-GPC is truly effective. If you are looking for a supplement to boost your performance, there are better choices on the market that already have a proven track record for being effective.

User Reviews

Not much can be found about Toniiq Alpha GPC on the internet. This makes it kind of strange because the manufacturers of Toniiq Alpha GPC claim that their product is superior to any Alpha-GPC supplement on the market. If that was the case, you’d expect more to find on the internet and to have at least some positive user reviews. There are none at the time of writing.

Pricing & Other Things to Consider

On the official site, Toniiq Alpha GPC is sold for $19.99. This makes it one of the cheaper Alpha-GPC supplements on the market.

Side Effects

If taken appropriately, the dietary supplementation with Alpha GPC should be safe for most people.

This makes Toniiq Alpha GPC safe and shouldn’t cause any serious side effects. However, some people might experience some mild side effects such as headache, dizziness, heartburn, on skin rash due to Alpha GPC’s effects.

If in doubt, always check with your doctor.

Conclusion to Toniiq Alpha GPC’s Review

Even though it is has a friendly price, if you are looking for a way to boost your cognitive power or sports performance, there are more effective supplements on the market than Toniiq Alpha GPC.

Alpha GPC holds some promise when it comes to supporting long-term brain health and memory function, however, a better supplement would be CDP-Choline, which is the same thing as Alpha-GPC just more bioavailable and effective.

However, even CDP-Choline isn’t enough alone. Toniiq Alpha GPC is missing many of the best nootropic ingredients, including L-Theanine, Phosphatidylserine, Lion’s Mane Mushroom, and B vitamins among others. With these included, it would be a more effective supplement. Because of these downsides, we do recommend doing more research to find better brain supplements – there are plenty of great ones on the market today.
